Wedding Invitation Development

I have changed the wording of the bodycopy as in the crit they did say that there was a mix of tense.

I have decided to change of the font on the back due to the elaborate font before made it hard to read. This font is matching the front font also so therefore, make it more all round. I have also changed the top bunting as this is less distracting, the last bunting has 3 drapes rather than one which made it very fussy.

This is the effect that it would look like with the white ink on wood.  This really helped doing this because it was very hard to visual at first due to the unsure texture and how it works. I have now showed her this design and she is happy with it hopefully it will look even better when I actually get the time to screen print the design.

So today I have stained the wood for the wedding invitations, I used a sponge and a wood stainer that I purchased from B&Q.

I have now screen printed the invitations, I had to change a number of things on the screen when printing due to the thickness of the stock. I have had to sellotape some mount board to the bottom of the screen so snap off can work due to the stock been too high up and therefore the pull will not be a clean finish.

I also had to go get some more work cut to fit around the edges of the invitation. So this didn't damage the screen.

These are all my screen printed finals now I just need to add lace to the wood...

I am going to now start designing the RSVP & save the date.
I want to keep it in the same style due to the need in using different stocks.

I have been very luck with the ability to use so much adventurous materials, due to my client only working part-time and therefore she said she would be willing to do crafting and muck in, in any way she can. Also her Dad is a joiner and therefore her has cut all the wood up for her and she has just started varnishing it. I have ordered all the materials such as lace and wood stainer & the paper stock, her friend's mum also had screen printing facilities at her home as this is one of her passions, she said she would screenprint the invites for her at little cost... So this brief has allowed me to be very adventurous in that aspect due to me knowing all this background information.
