Cinema Publication Development

So I have started with deciding on my page size. Due to me wanting to make an issue of a magazine, which will be given out at the cinema. I am thinking to be small as you don't want it to override the food that you are given or if it is in one of those stands.

 Then I started to make rough layouts, which developed over these 9 which you can see from the image. I think the strongest one is the bottom right as I like the idea of following the circle theme of the film countdown numbers.

This is my rough sketches of packaging as these re my initial ideas. I like the idea of popcorn packaging although, this is very impractical as this magazine is not going to be bought and you cant give it out fancy like I would like to portray it!

This is my numbering system I wanted to design this so they knew what I meant by this style because it would be very hard to explain. 

These are my quick layouts of my pages. I am going to take these so they can chose which one they like the best as I am not too sure what is working best within the pages at the moment.

Now from the crit today, I have started developing the first page. I think this is pretty simple so that is why I have added red in I like the idea of icons faded out in the background. and a few red lines to bring this tone out.

From the critique people told me that they thought the idea of having it on the food tray, but also the idea of the popcorn packaging so therefore I could include both. Although, technically it needs to be flat so that other things can stand on it.

Another idea could be that I could put a pocket on the side of the popcorn packaging.

So I tried the idea of having a pocket on the side of the popcorn package, although due to the popcorn been very light and the book been quite heavy. The box tippled over and therefore this is not practical. Also, this would need to be queried with the cinema before producing to make sure that the whole packaging idea is ok with them as you are changing there products & promotional material.
