Initial Ideas

We had to roughly rewrite the brief, break it down to work upon until we wrote up the brief in actual terms. 

So we decided that we would go away and both do research on primary & research as we didn't want to get one person to do primary as that would mean we could miss something.

So after we have done all our research we started on ides separately to then collaborate on what we think is good etc...

Here is my mind map of thoughts:

So then we came together & told each other what we thought etc... Our best idea we thought overall was the supermarket sweep as this is known by the target audience and therefore would be a good starting point.


For this sessions we had to have made progress on our brief and to ahve some ideas ready to discuss. We have developed our idea so we felt we was ready for the crit.

We got into groups of three pairs and talked about our briefs and what we wish to do, and how we are going to divided roles. But overall the feedback was very positive and we also got some tips on logo etc...

After this we have decided that we should probably have the same person working on the app & website as these need to be the same just maybe in a smaller format etc... So Sam has kindly said she will do the app & website due to her not doing much for screen in her last brief and I really wanted to work with layout to strengthen this skill.

So here are the new lists, as we also realised the same person should really work on the card & the leaflet for the points:

I will design:

• The web promotion
• Poster/magazine advert
• Sandwich board promotion outside the store

Sam will design:

• The website and app that allow customers to see their points balance and how close they are to certain prizes. 
• The points card and keyring 
• The information leaflet that will hold the points card and key ring version 
• The stickers that will be on secret items.

We are thinking about dividing the prizes after the designing of the screen & print media as we don't know who will have the most work as of yet.

Then we have set out an action plan so that we can work at the sam speed. Although, from this action plan the tasks we are doing have changed. As firstly we thought we would spread out the app & the website between us as neither of us wanted to do it although when we thought back we think that one persons need to do them so they are consistent.
