Logo & Colour Scheme Decisions

Today, we have decided on a logo & colour scheme. We both took in initial ideas and then we have expanded on them. Here are my colours to chose from & the logos I drew out to expand on with Sam.

Although, when I had finished the logo designs I realised that the market st. was not going to be part of the sweep as this is the freshly prepared food & veg etc... So therefore those logos would not be appropriate and therefore my designs where basically eliminated.

So therefore, we both liked one of sams which was...

And I think with some adaptation this could work really well. I thought about making the shopping trolley more curved so its easier to the eye and matches the circle around the icon. Also we thought about changing the font style to make it more like a stamp and in the style of detective.

So we curved the bottom bar and the handle. I think it works a lot better due to the less net for the basket effect and then the streamline from the handle to the bottom bar which leads your eyes down.

This is the final logo design. The sentences are more central and the dots have more space around them. We have put it in this green as this is the main colour that Morrisons use in all the promotions.

Our final colour scheme we have decided that we should just stick with the Morrison's iconic colours and then black and white.

Think overall, our logo & colour decisions are very strong and we have both agreed with these as we both expressed our opinions and then tried them and checked if they worked or not. Now we are going to split the jobs out so that we can start deciding and then come together to make sure we are on the same line and adjust our designs to make it the best as it possibly can.
