Again I have used the same style of lettering as the other two parts of this invite. I am going to use the same stock as the RSVP to keep some consistency & the same ink.
I am wanting to create something special for the save the date as this is something you should keep on show to keep reminding you to make sure you book it off work or don't plan anything else etc...
Therefore I thought I would create something unusual... I thought I would have something you unveil then it makes it more exciting and then sticks in your mind more.
I just don't think this is wow factor enough! I think that maybe if I make the bunting tactile rather than printed this could work.
The idea of having a mini envelope attached to a titles stock and then you pull out a bunting which is attached to the envelope and you drape out. Then on the bunting it will have the main important points on each bunting.
I decided to design the buntings first as this is needed if I want to put the details on actual string, I am going to use the same paper that I have used for the RSVPs.
These are the newly updated bunting, I have decided to have a scooping pattern across the top as this will be seen on both sides. I have created more buntings so that the information is more clear.
It is going to say:
Katie & Nathan are (tying the knot) on 28th June 2015.
The (tying the knot) didn't work when it said all three of these words within one bunting, and separating them made the bunting too long so I am going to replace this with some string tied in a lose knot, so it will symbolise this instead of saying it.
So here is my crafting to make this idea and to see how it works?
These are all my mock-ups for the envelope I wanted a nice sculpted edge, I found it difficult I started really small at first but then realised this is unrealistic and that the bunting would have to be very small and unpractical.
Again I am going to say that I am very lucky that I can use such nifty methods due to my client been quite crafty herself since her wedding planning. She said she would willing do anything with the materials as long as I show her and that it was straight forward... This process is very simple, she will have a lot of cutting out which I might offer to do over the summer but the putting together is simple.
These are the images from my photography shoot... I think this has really created the wow factor. I am very mad as I have lost all the images of the crafting of the bunting and the use of the parcel string and therefore the progression of this has not been blogged.
