Secret 7" Vinyl Competition

 So I started by breaking down the brief to a more defined understanding....

So after my research I knew exactly what I wanted and I am hoping I can just get this to look good when on paper.

I am going to draw a skyline and break a division with a square to represent a screen.

 I have traced over an existing skyline and then I have expanded upon it to make it into my own. I quite like this look alone but it doesn't fit with the quotation from the lyrics.

 This is what I am going to use to break up the pretty & the dull side of the city, with the square representing a screen.

This is the skyline with colour added in. I am not too sure about the straight line at the bottom and I am not too sure how i can correct this but I am going to try and paint it out.

 I am not 100% happy with this but I have tried many ways and this was the best advancement.

 This is my final vinyl sleeve, I am proud of it minus the squiggle bottoms I may try & rectify this after the submission as I don't have time before the submission. I have added flowers on the corner of the screen to add more of the feeling of a pretty city. I am very happy with the concept of my vinyl and think that this is stronger than my design personally, I have explained this when I have submitted this to the website.

Now i have submitted and waiting for information to hear if I have been chosen for the exhibition or not.


Sadly I wasn't chose in the final 700 this was very upsetting for me as I thought my concept was very strong. Although there was a lot more competition this year more than other years, many from studios etc....
