Packaging Research
So today I went to Paperchase for a look around and get some Christmas cards. And I noticed they had quite a lot of note cards which were all packed in small boxes with lids that pull off. This gave me an idea, of how to pack my books together as I think this would work better with the book if you get a box to keep all the cards together. This also sorts out my problem of not wanting the card to open further compared to the binding edge.
Earlier on in the week I was looking at how to bind books so that the option to put little books within pockets or slits within the book. Although, I was hitting a brick wall to it either going to be too chunky or bulging at the opposite side of the binding.
I am not sure on my size of the books yet due to not knowing how much information I am doing to have to put into them. So therefore this is why I got pictures of all the options that was in there.
If I was to make the mini look-a-like graze books I think I would consider making them in a box like with a whole container for them to stand in. I like the whole container how the books wouldnt get damaged due to the container all the way up to the top.
Then I seen these ones, this is what I think I would do if I was to make larger square books as if I had them standing up this big it would be too tall and inappropriate. Although I am not too sure about these ones as I opened one of them and them all flew out because as you can see they have to hold them together with a belly band to hold them together. I don't want to do this because I think this is a downfall of the packaging due to the card overflowing the top of the box and therefore they could get bend and break.
This is possibly what I could do tomorrow due to the maybe needing to be bigger than my initial thought of what I wanted the books to looks like. The height of the box, that I am wanting all the way up and then if the books are taller in height than width. Then this way they can sit spine up in the box and therefore easier to pull out.
