Defining Audience & Content

Defining Audience & Content.

My audience is for art students who are already interested in screen printing but don't know about the finishes you can do which also add definition to your work to make them special.

Therefore I am guessing they are going to middle class with a well educated background. They are going to be creative and therefore will appreciate the effort & style of the design.

The age range will be around 16-25 therefore do not have a lot of money so need to keep the materials to a minimum. So it brings down the cost if the book was to be sold.

More than likely will attend an art college and therefore the materials & equipment will be avaliable to them and if need more information. I don't want to explain the process of screen printing as I don't want people to get bored as I know how boring it is when you have to go over the process of screen printing over & over again.

The content will be a look a book which will make you want to pick it up so therefore the cover needs to stand out and people will be interested to what it is. Because if people know its about learning things they may not what to buy it. And therefore can attract people who are not knowing fans of finishes.

I am going to create little how to... booklets for each of the finishes. I think that I am going to make a key to relate each booklet to the right finish just incase people don't know anything about finishes. I might also laminate the little how to booklets so that they can take this into the workshop as the look book will be made for clean hands only.
