Initial Ideas.


To start with I created a big mind map with the different ideas I had for factors such as the audience & what I could talk about with the information I have found during my research. 







This map helped me collect my thoughts together. As I was very all over the place as I didn't just want to make a standard print book. And therefore due to this I was stuck & didn't know how to move on. 

My first thought was to create a DIY screen printing pack. But then I thought this would be very restricting & expensive due to the need in putting in all the essentials into the pack & also although, I could explain how to screen print I am not an expert to be able to explain how to create a screen etc... And what materials would be best. Although, I could have found this information over the internet, I didn't want to do this due to then this not been my words & therefore I wouldn't have learnt anything from this brief. Also, I hadn't practiced screen printing for the research of this brief because I have already done it many-a-times, and therefore would have been pointless.

So expanding from this point, I decided to look at what I have research into the most. This was definitely finishes due to this is what I had never really looked into as I thought it would have been very hard & take too much time. 






So from this I think I am going to make a look book. Which will have all the different finishes in. Such as foiling, flocking, binding, spot varnish, laser cut, folding. ETC...
