So I decided to start design the business card first...
I started to work with the layout of the information and the logo because there isn't much else to do with business cards. I have added a line around the edge, which I am also going to foil because with the stock been white it just frames the information a little.
This one is the one I have decided to go with because of the balanced layout. The logo is the first thing you see and therefore you will be able to get salon recognition. I have chosen also to put Hannah's name in bold so that this is more important than the contact info.
I am very pleased with it and now cant wait to see the finished product.
I have decided to put the appointment card on the back of the business card as this is going to cut down costs for Hannah and you wouldn't then necessarily need to give them out separately for any reason.
I decided to include a skyline on the behind the appointment blocks as it looked pretty bland and needed something to break up the white space. I think this works very well, I have gone off research for the design of the appointment card because this is something that needs to logically work. I closed it with a short note about booking and cancelling appointments. I began with a XO on the bottom of the card but then changed it to a heart. I wasn't too sure about the heart but when I sent Hannah the design I asked her what she thought about the heart and she liked the personal touch.
Again when I sent Hannah the business card she was very happy with the design. So far she has been a very easy client to work for. I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing. As i would like the experience of a difficult customer and also I don't know if she is just been nice and not wanting to express her views.
Now I am going to set them up ready for print and to foil. This is because I want to put about 9 on the same A3 so that this will reduce print costs and also because the Elegant & the line will be foiled this needs to be missed out and put on to a positive but in the same place for the placing of the glue to be in the correct place for the foil to be correctly positioned.
Positive for Foiling
