Box Packaging Development

So I started by working out the size that y box needs to be so that all my elements will fit in nicely. I only have 7 elements due me taking one out because one element has not come in time and therefore feel its best to take it out than have that chance of it not been here. Also the first element is a un-birthday card so this is just going to lay on top of everything else.

This is my first mock-up of an ideas I have from my research to turn a box into a plate. Although, now I have created this I think it ill not be very stable and it would be best to be contained.

(SECOND MOCK_UP)

This is going to be the one I chose as I believe that it has more structure and the base will be stronger to hold all the elements so we have no accidents. So now I am going to start doing it for my final.

I have chose to use brown card as I wanted to use the recycled brown card rather than this but this is just as good now I have seen the make-up of the box. I bought lots of stock to see which one works best, so but I found this was the best colour option as other creams didn't match and the pink was to much!.

Then I decided that I needed to put some structure within the box I didn't just want to put some shredded tissue paper within the box, I thought that I would shred book pages as this is more appropriate due to her mother reading her a book as she falls into her deep sleep.

I have created a belly band for the box to make sure it is branded, And then I don't have to screenprint onto the box. I have used the band of the icons on the side of the box. I have put a quote on the bottom about how the world is upside down and therefore you have the box upside down.

 Here is the final box:
