Poster Development

So I started to put the boarder round as I thought that this would therefore allow consistency throughout the event branding. I have put a point of call on the poster as this is a major factor when promoting posters. I thought having a logo in the middle at the top would be the best recognition for the branding.

I found that it needed something to make it more attractive to the eye, to grab the attention of the viewer. Therefore I have placed the table behind the title  as I thought this would create a focal point on the title of the event. I do believe this has made the title illegible and therefore I need to make it small or with a higher opacity.

I have now moved all the layout out down so I could add a line of card icons across the top, this creates the focus at the top and then you read downwards. The title has not become more legible as it is now overlaying the table leg.

I have tried the presents to the side as this is how it is on other elements such as the ticket. Although, I don't think this works due to everything else been centralised on the page. I have also added the date & venue onto the poster as this is vital part of the information I realised I missed off. Now I feel I need to work out the layout.

This has now got a better layout due to the vector image not overlapping any of the information. Although, I do feel that there is still room for improvement as at the moment the middle column has not breathing space to give the eyes a rest to focus on the information. I have also placed, the icons on each corners to connote the idea of a playing card, this also helps focus the eyes on the important parts of the poster.

This is a layout that I have decided that I am happy with as the info is now well balanced with equal spacing between each element of the poster. I feel centralising all the elements on the poster have benefited it in a way that the eyes will get lest tired as the focus is easy to see all elements. I have only included the important information on the poster to make sure the viewers don't get lost in an overload of information.
