So the task to begin with was to mind map out what we want to have within our contents of the website, the type of audience we want to attract, whats we want to communicate and finally the most important question is what is the purpose?
Here is my mind map, I didn't know what to focus mine on at first but we had a group discussion and they told me to focus on like experiences of the roller coaster as that will grab peoples attention more than information such as whats the best way to plan your day and where to get cheap tickets from etc...
I am now thinking that I want my target audience to be adrenaline junkies from age 16-30 which is quite a big age range but I don't want to rule many people out as there is a large ages range of people who enjoy riding roller coasters. The content I think I want to focus on the experience such as heart rate and having videos of people riding roller coasters to make people feel like they are riding and get a feeling etc...
I want to communicate an analysis of the rides and inform them about why they enjoy it so much and the history behind the aim of a roller coaster. Finally the purpose is to make people want to visit Alton Towers for people who have been there and enjoyed it and make it bring back memories or for people who have never been there to make them want to attend the theme park.
