Birth of a font
The ready made typefaces I used to create hybrid typefaces:

| Script |

| Block |
![]() |
| Roman |
![]() |
| Gothic |
5 Created from hybriding typefaces:
This is my first font that i have developed from the script and the roman font. I liked the definition in different stroke sizes. I think the ABC in this font is very strong and abc needs some rendering to become better but XYZ xyz doesn't seem to work too well and when I arranged them I tried to move them around in all areas but didn't seem to work.
This is very similar to my first typeface but i liked the gap created on this letterform I created by hand above. The Cc was very hard to try and detatch the block strips to the script stroke. Again i believe that the ABC abc is a lot stronger than the XYZ xyz it is very hard to get the right shape and form to allow it to look right.
My third typeface is developed from the gothic & block fonts. This one above was my inspiration for the font and it was created by hand from the cut out shapes. I think that they are both quite strong ABC abc XYZ xyz although they don't look like they are from the same typeface although the only reason for this is that xyz don't have any counters to allow me to use the same shapes.
This is my forth typeface I have created, I liked the unusual form as this has a script stem and a roman bowls. I think this is my strongest font so far. Although, ab needs to be refined more for them flow better within the set, also they need to have a better form of the ab shape so they don't look abnormal.
This is my fifth typeface. This is made up fully of the roman typeface. I have dissected it and put it back together on a slant and with slight distortion. I think all of the letters are very strong and although they are made of the same font it is very different compared to the original roman typeface.
